OT Tim Curry was the second in command in the movie, "The Hunt for Red October" and many other movies. He was best known though as "Dr, Frankfurter" in the cult movie "Rocky Horror Picture Show" as the Sweet transvestite. He was a serious actor and the movie was done a musical spoof of sci fi which aslo starred Susan Sarandon. The movie became a classic among cult followers who would dress up as the characters and go to midnight showing for years. It was a late 70s early 80s craze.
