I'm not convinced. We're talking about people who haven't yet figured out how to program the clock on their VCRs. I'm not sure a Windows-like task bar on their TVs is going to seem friendly

The same people that use Windows or Office, are the ones who can't program the clock on their VCRS. I am an example---I would rather play around with unknown or never used Windows commands to accomplish a task rather than reading a user manual from VCR manufacturer. I think the first ones to get interested in set top boxes are going to be the ones with money or good jobs. They are more likely to have used Office and Windows rather than whatever Oracle, Sun or anyone else out there. Most white collar workers have some familiarity with either Windows or Office. I think that is one thing we should accept as fact.
