Sytron, Inc. Subsidiary Awarded Airport Security System in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands

BROOMFIELD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 1999--Sytron, Inc. (OTC BB: SITR) announced today that one of its subsidiaries, Sytron Systems Group, Inc., has received an order from Bonneville Construction Company, SE to provide the access control and security system equipment to be used in the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands.

The order is valued at over $70,000. Bonneville provides integrated security, video, fire and data solutions to commercial, educational and government customers in Puerto Rico and surrounding areas. Sytron Systems Group, Inc. began shipment of equipment in April and will complete the order over the next 90 days.

Sytron's Windows NT based Maxx-Net access control and security system will be used to provide card access control and video badging for the sensitive and protected areas of the Airport. A redundant fiber optic based communication structure will be used to provide a more reliable and fault tolerant system. The system will also utilize proximity readers manufactured by another Sytron subsidiary, Dorado Systems Corp.

''Sytron has proven their ability to provide a flexible yet affordable security solution,'' commented Rafael Rodriguez, Vice President Sales & Marketing - Networks Bonneville Construction Company, SE. ''The system design is similar to several other airports currently using the Maxx-Net NT system. We believe that Sytron is rapidly becoming a major player in the growing airport market and plan to use them at other facilities.''

''Because of the flexibility of the Maxx-Net system and the ability to support many different communication architectures, we believe that the market for our product is virtually limitless,'' commented Rob Howard, President of Sytron, Inc. ''We are excited to be working with Bonneville and look forward to many opportunities to come.''

Sytron, Inc. is an integrated security systems company that designs and manufactures security, fire, access control products and systems for airports, government facilities, banks, correctional and corporate and industrial sites.
