Oops....guess they pulled the trigger a little too quickly. Don't worry though, I hear an announcement concerning their proprietary GTL technology is....imminent (boy, that's a relief!). Saturday May 8, 7:17 pm Eastern Time Company Press Release SOURCE: Synergy Technologies Corporation Synergy Technologies Corporation Clarification CALGARY, Alberta, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Synergy Technologies Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: OILS - news) wishes to clarify its April 23, 1999 news release, which was rescinded, and to clarify the events surrounding its issuance. Synergy Technologies Corporation is currently in the final stages of development of a test unit to test its proprietary heavy oil technology. Testing of several heavy oil samples supplied by parties interested in the technology should commence on or before June 1, 1999. Synergy has received several expressions of interest in regard to its proprietary heavy oil technology and is in negotiation with various interested parties in regard to the licensing of this technology. The news release detailed a proposal related to negotiations with a Canadian company. The news release was disseminated prior to a full review of the proposal by the Board of Directors and was immediately rescinded. The Company with whom Synergy was negotiating for the Canadian Rights was aware at all times that other interested parties were also negotiating with Synergy. The Canadian Company requested additional time to finalize, and the Board of Directors of Synergy determined that an extension was not in the best interest of Synergy. Synergy therefore notified the Canadian company of it's decision to rescind the offer of an exclusive license. The Board of Directors of Synergy has since met, and a determination has been made to carefully review all of the licensees of the technology and to bring in an outside investment banking firm to assist in a review of all potential licensees. The laboratory facility in Orleans, France will be running tests on several samples to be provided by potential users of the technology during June/99 and expects to be able to complete testing and have independent laboratory analysis available no later than the end of July 1999. Synergy Technologies Corporation is a Colorado corporation headquartered in Calgary, Canada with offices in Houston and London and an R & D affiliate in Orleans, France. This document contains forward-looking statements. There are certain important factors that could cause results to differ materially from those anticipated by the statements made above.
