visionary leadership, You said it. Visionary leadership is what AOL is lacking. Why didn't they find out Cable is the future before Armstrong took them off guard? AOL is suffering from a severe lack of vision in terms of broadband strategy. It appears that they had totally forgotten about broadband until after AT&T bought TCI. This strategic mistake probably has cost AOL for good. Working behind the scene to create legislations is what someone will do in desparation, a loser's act.
