How does AAPL respond to this?:

Fry's Mother's Day Sale-

iMac333 $1199 eMachine366 $499

I know, add a monitor and ethernet card and it's less. Fry's will sell you 15 in. monitor for $150 and a card for $10. Or HP will sell you a 366 w/monitor and color inkjet printer for $1018.

Next sale item:

G3/350 w/Zip $2499 Sony 500 Plll w/CDRW $2399

I'm not trying to elicit flames. The most recent K's and Q's are things of beauty, but IMHO only because of their margins. Their stated inventory of 1 day can only work if Fry's will hold inventory. Conventional wisdom is that a small market share player needs to have a 1.5-2X price performance advantage. In these instances, it is reversed.

Can this business model be sustained?
