Frank,

One of our threadmates commented that we were in danger of becoming the Qualcomm thread's mirror site.

The way to ensure that doesn't happen regarding Qualcomm or any stock is to discuss the particular stock in the context of gorilas and kings. That IS what the thread is all about.

To the extent that there will be a certain amount of redundancy between this thread and a thread dedicated solely to discussion of one stock, I can easily live with it. For me, there is a lot more value to discussing companies and stocks in the context of other companies, industries, general business environments and concepts such as gorillaness than discussing them strictly on their own merit.

It's just my opinion, but that's why I visit this folder after visiting all the other folders. I like saving the best for last.

The problem as I see it is that this market won't reward an ordinary, magnificent, quarter. If we don't get the split, I think we may be stuck in the 100-125 range for another 90 days

Hey Frank!
I know we are all in this to make money, but don't you think that CSCO is already fairly valued for....about two years from now? That is why I hope that Chambers doesn't announce a split this quarter. All it will do is make money for the traders and increase the long term volatility for us holders. I'd rather see CSCO stay in this trading range for another quarter than see even more extensive "irrational exuberance" on this stock. I've made more in this stock than I ever dreamed of making, so as long as it doesn't lose 50% of its value (scary as it is, it isn't impossible), I am a happy, content child ;o)

With all due respect to the mighty gorilla investors,
Justin
