Craig,

Are you planning on leaving SI for a while?..

PS.. Cyrix itself may not be dead.. IBM may pick up the name, which maybe some solace..

Steve

(oh and you are most welcome btw)

Craig,

Great post.

This is a great exit point for those that have held through the really lean times.

If these guys can't sell the fab they are in deep doo-doo.

And nobody's going to be designing their newer chips except the white box market so their desktop share will decline even further.

As far as IBM goes, I am sure the rumours were true that they were talking and IBM declined to buy Cyrix and the fab.

So it will likely be the far east foundry guys who will pick it up.

Good luck to everyone.

Regards,

Kash
