Lee Broadband is ATHM. ATHM is the source of broadband. ATHM is the one that has a lot of PARTNERSHIPS with Cable companies, not ATT. Broadband is thru cable, not phone lines. AOL's broadband is what they call DSL...which is not really a broadband bec. it is running on phone lines. With all the partnerships and acquisitions ATT/ATHM had done...there is nothing left for AOL except small cable companies in rural areas...or sticking with their DSL service thru phone lines....which we all know is 100 times LESS faster than cable. 60% of ATHM customers are not from ATT. ATT is there bec. they bought TCI, which is a major holder of ATHM, and ATT just bought MediaOne. ATT DOES NOt HAVE BROADBAND, THEY JUST HAVE THE CABLE. Again, ATHM is the BROADBAND. ATHM/ATT has just started. This is like looking at AOL 10 years ago...at GROUND LEVEL. This is why AOL is kinda scared right now and petitions left and right to get access also, for they know they are now going to be behind the PACK. SO, IMHO, I don't think the "HYPE" of broadband will die down easily. In fact, ATHM are getting tons of calls for request of service from people who are tired of looking at a TRIANGLE go round and round waiting for the darn thing to download. With Broadband, it will be 100 times faster and ALWAYS ON and does not tie up your phone lines. BTW, Broadband will be INTERACTIVE. When you are watching a commercial, you can also buy the product at the same time while watching. No Hype, just facts already mentioned in ATHM's PR's. Your questions for ATHM can be answered...home.com Broadband is the future. Like what analysts said...ATHM is "aol on STEROIDS". Again, the issue is..."BROAD"(CABLE)BAND and "NARROW"(PHONE LINES) BAND....BROADBAND AGAINST NARROW BAND. Good Luck.
