C. McD, actually EBID hit $3 immediately following its feature in the $tockprofit Newsletter, reprinted below :

Greetings, everyone!

Here's a fresh pick for mid-month…

EBID.

acubid.com

quote.yahoo.com

bigcharts.com

As you can see the recent trend is a good one, with the BID and ASK rising daily!

As at 9AM April 15th , EBID is trading at $2.00.

Here's some information on the company from one of their news releases :

“AcuBid.com is a newly established, San Diego-based, live Internet auction house, specializing in the sale of high-end collectibles. AcuBid's business objective is to develop a premier Web site for high-end Internet collectible trading. The company will maintain an inventory of rare and hard-to-find items that it will auction off to the public.

In addition, the company intends to act as a broker to provide a venue for sellers and dealers to display their collectibles to potential purchasers throughout the world via the Internet. “

A great ticker symbol, and a great niche concept. If they can pull it off, there could be great gains to be had here. Online auction stocks have been really hot lately, which is another reason we're hopeful about this one. Everyone knows the EBAY story, and remember Bid.com on the Toronto, Canada exchange? We picked that one in November at $4.25 and it is now trading at just under $30!

With any luck, we'll see “second tier” or niche online auctions have the same success that we've seen with second, fourth, etc. tier dot coms. No targets here, but we think it is a good speculation.

As always, little information is included here to encourage you to do your own due diligence, and what do you expect for free?!. What is included is believed to be true to the best of our knowledge. Stockprofit and our associates may or may not own stock in the mentioned companies. Stockprofit is in no way affiliated with any of the mentioned companies, nor have we been compensated in any way for the mention of these stocks. Stockprofit is not a licenced investment advisor, and in no way is this an offer to buy or sell any securities. These are just some stocks suggested to you to look into, and our enthusiasm is based solely on speculation. Judge us by our record, but always make your own decisions.

Thanks and good luck !
