TLC, excellent post. Yes, I'm sure many can identify with you on that. I'm getting the distinct sense that the actions taken in this particular case were far from a unanimous decision. C'est la vie, I guess.

I had no idea that you had lived in Houston and worked at the same FBO as I did at Hobby Airport some 18 years ago. What a small world. Say, what ever became of that DD anyhow? Last I heard, he was still trying to get me charged with some type of crime for allegedly making a voodoo doll of him that allegedly caused him chest and back pains.

That was very well written, TLC.

I sincerely hope that the legal team have not taken over the show and are the tail wagging the dog<, so to speak--as regards their executive bosses. Any top notch executive reading what you have written will easily recognize the maturity behind it, and also the fecklessness and counterproductiveness of the emotional give and take that prevailed to start this little fire.

It is certainly not too late, for the people involved, to all have a mature meeting of the minds, and admit to the misunderstandings and feelings that were slighted on both sides. This means the real people...and leaving the lawyers out of it. It is either that way ,where all risk for both sides is definitively removed, or it is the lawyers way...where everyone--and a lot of personal and corporate reputation will be at risk. There are no easy or predictable answers when anyone enters a courtroom. It is actually a bigger gamble than vegas. It is really a stupid and immature way to conduct business, but when people refuse to find mature solutions to their differences, and when people decide to settle these matters by conflict, and in that forum--then you wax your holsters and wear both your guns.

I hope some intelligent, mature, and human executives had the opportunity to read your message closely, and to recognize the maturity of your words. It would really be nice to see both sides to this issue use their extensive creativity to create a win-win situation for all. Really, it is easily done. All it takes is maturity. Of course, for those lucky enough or young enough or privileged enough not to have had any of this world's agonies visited upon them, this will only represent an opportunity for them to act supercilious and proud. I do hope sense and goodwill will prevail in this, but the lawyers have to be by-passed. Obviously they are mostly good people, too. But they make their living on conflict...not on resolution.

Best regards,

Barry
