CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 7, 1999--THQ Inc. (Nasdaq/NM:THQI) is shifting into high gear to bring Codemasters' popular Micro Machines(r) titles to the Game Boy(tm) Color system.

The licensing agreement with Codemasters will allow THQ, the largest third-party publisher of Game Boy products (NPD TRSTS January 1999), to develop, publish and distribute two Micro Machines titles worldwide. "Micro Machines 1&2: Twin Turbo" (working title) is scheduled for release summer 1999, and "Micro Machines V3" is scheduled for a winter 1999 release.

"Micro Machines 1" and "Micro Machines 2" each won tremendous success on the original Game Boy system. THQ's Game Boy Color version of "Micro Machines V3" will be the first installment of "Micro Machines V3" available on any handheld gaming system.
