If you are not on margin, just sigh and sit through these corrections. I am on margin that's why I'm worrying (but I'm still not selling any AOL.....or DELL.....those are fine well managed companies)
I'm fairly new to the investing-trading world, S.I. onlookers have watched my progress from totally raw to somewhat intelligent investor. We are in a very very volatile market. But if you are in companies whose year graph is a steady uphill climb, and there is no verified bad news, have some chamomile tea and shortbread cookies (or a marguerita) and read a good novel.
The uphill climb will return...so will the dips...but the trend for AOL is up.
Freeus
If I ever manage to get out of margin, I will get into it for AOL at under 120....and later at 220..... most likely
Chemicals, gold, paper are fine...but we are in a technological world.

steve, " any advice?": Don't sell AOL since you'll be paying taxes on it.( assuming you are not on margin and can take lower prices ). Add at the bottoms, wherever they are. The high PE stocks will retest their support lines more than twice in these uncertain times. Weak hands need to fall off. Add more at the support levels, a little at a time 'cause you don't know where the support is. After they do AOL will double in 12 months. One of your best investments,

TA

Critical level for AOL is between 110-112, or about the low of the recent sell-offs since it fell from 175.

The only other level of importance before that is 115. All other claims for "support" etc., is bunk.

Good luck!
