Morgan Stanley updated thier outperform rating on Lor yesterday along with thier G* report. The key points are as follows:

27 99 target and 40 over "long-term."

"We believe that Loral is a very good name for long-term, patient investors given the growth of the space industry. Those focused on near term performance (i.e.6-9 months)have to deal with the inherant risk of the space industry -- each launch event (which occasionally result in highly dramatic failures -- clearly demonstrated by the Orion 3 situation) can result in very sharp moves in the stock up or down, depending on the outcome." [no sh.t!]

"Once again, we caution investors against focusing too much on short-term p&l performance as the company continues to be in very heavy investment mode, particularly for Globalstar."

The report pretty much repeats Bear Stearns' comments previously posted concerning the effect of the Orion 3 failure and increased thier loss forecast by .05 to 1.05. They are sticking with a .75/sh loss for 2000. All thier forecasts are very similar to what Bernie says in the annual report. All in all, it looks like all the analysts liked what they heard in the CC. At least no one has lowered thier ratings. MS particularly likes Cyberstar's and Skynet's prospects ala Valueman. The Telstar 7 decision is indeed a major decision.
