I cut and paste scan hits from quotes plus. The date is not part of the scan results

I add the hits to the spreadsheet every night.

Max number of hits thus far has been in the 50 area. I would say to shoot for 100 (or more if the process is not slowed by it). Absolute max will likely be in the 150-175 area.

Yes I have access97, no I have not used it.

I've not done much with Access but it seems to me a more flexible data structure would be to turn the data around. How tough would it be to create a record for each symbol with fields for the last N hit dates, most recent first. I bet 5 or 10 dates would be plenty.
Then search for today's date in the first date field and a non-null date in the second date field.
An interesting extension might be to have several ranges of date fields, each for different scans.
Seems like the trick would be to create the tool to populate the date fields and create the new records for new hits.
