I was here a few years back when SI first came about. Lucky for me(and u) for being grandfathered and not having to pay for SI membership :-). I also remember when The Z Portfolio first started and have been watching. I saw quite a few bad trades on that thread as well as some good ones. I see that all on that thread have learned quite a bit in the past few years. I find that you do indeed learn quicker in groups. I myself have learned many a hard lesson. I was hurting pretty bad when the market dummped in October and the biggest lesson I learned was dont be afread to sell quik when things start going bad cause it can always get worse. MUCH WORSE! Anyway, it sounds like you have the same trading mentality that I do. I held over weekends too on occasion. It seems that NEON seems to gap a point on the open quite a bit. especially when there is a late day rally. DCLK does the same thing. Its almost like clockwork. There is a site that has close and open prices as well as high, low, & volume for as far back as u want. Excellent for spotting trends such as Gap ups. NETP is too new for me to touch. Especcially since all its been doing is dropping since the IPO. Good luck w/that one.
