Jeff I was hoping that as well. That would have been a definite coup. Blizzard consistently produces some of the best selling, best known games and they are bankable. Instead of becoming part of another game company or being part of a spinoff, they just moved from one faceless dichotomy to another. Oh well...

In terms of online multi-player games, THQ's board has some knowledge of this genre. Jim Whims (THQ and I believe 3DFX board member) is chairman and managing director of Multitude; a company involved with internet technology and an online game called "FireTeam". Last I heard the company was going to focus on its internet technology and not games. They were looking for a publisher for FireTeam.

Jeff, I'd venture that THQ's first WWF PC game will be a good multi-player. (WCW Nitro was just for practice and a rush job.)

Andrew, thanks for all the links and info lately. Good stuff.

In my perfect world, I'd like to see a nice one-time gain booked for THQ selling the ECW license to AKLM next week.
