The most interesting presentation at CTST is Tuesday afternoon on
"Public Key Infrastructures: Integrating Smart Cards and Biometrics"

I don't even care what they say there. Look at the line-up:

Moderator: A Verisign VP.

Speaker on "The Viability of Deploying Fingerprint Technology for PKI" -- A Visa International VP.

Speaker on "Using Fingerprint Technologies in PKI -- A Biometrics Vendor Perspective" -- Oscar Pieper, Identicator

Speakers on "Issues Associated with Deploying Biometrics in the PKI Environment," -- Barclays Bank rep ("user perspective"); Litronics, Inc., rep ("integrator's perspective")

Speakers on "Widescale Deployment of Biometrics and Smart Cart Hardware -- The Issues" -- Compaq rep and H-P rep

Speaker on "Putting Certificates on Smart Cards" -- an RSA rep (RSA is associated with Verisign)

==========================

I see Verisign and Identicator together here, along with other IDX friends. I don't see any IDX competitors here. This is a strong sign that these guys are on the same page and, we can hope, on the same team.

By the way, Brad, Bill Gates doesn't show up on the CTST brochure.
