Don, I think they have many problems: 1. The "good deals" Compaq and IBM have been giving them to cut the throats of the channel ends up being suicide, not murder. 2. The Computer City stores. What a great time to expand 30%. <g> 3. The lower ASPs due to too much supply. 4. Nothing new to make people pay up. 5. Lousy service. I had a run of trouble with them about a year and a half ago and I'll never go back to the store except to gloat when I see the stacks of unsold boxes and monitors and printers. <g> 6. The fact they have some credit standards while Gateway does not. 7. Lack of diversified merchandise. Best Buy and Circuit City are also doing lousy in computers, but they are selling lots of tvs and dvds and refrigerators.
