SNDK might go up and down with other semiconductor related companies, but I think it moves more closely with the disk storage group, like Seagate, EMC, WDC, etc. If computer sales lag, and companies like Compaq report weak earnings, then I can see how a not very knowledgable analyst would assume things are getting bad for the peripheral group as well. This is what helped lower the price of SNDK, especially when Compaq reported its earnings. In any event, I think the market for flash memory is now becoming better defined, partly because of digital cameras and partly because of MP3. So in the future, I would expect to see SNDK reflect less and less the fortunes of the semiconductor group as a whole. ART
