Jean,

Since I do not have voting rights in the USA I never comment on US immigration policies. Also, since the country that I do have a voting right in has no immigration policy to speak of, I feel that it would reek of double standards if I started complaining of US immigration policy (this is completely self-directed and not meant as a criticism of anybody else's actions).

But, even outside of anecdotal evidence (which I am not doubting at all as I have been privy to many such examples) it is a fact that there is a huge community of extremely well-educated and well-compensated skilled immgrants in the USA, simply because education and compensation are the two grounds based on which these persons get their permanent residency and/or work visas and these are tested by the DOL and the INS.
