My question is, if these two statements are true then what is the BIG DEAL here? well there IS a difference. Some theoretical, some affects the earnings and profits. The method DCI is now changing to adds an intangible asset on to the balance sheet initially increasing the net book value per share. Then this is amortized away over a 20-year period by making charges against future earnings. Amortization comes after EBITDA.

Something is not adding up IMHO. Why would the SEC stop trading on this point? I don't get it. exactly what I've been saying. The SEC speaks with "forked tongue." They NEVER tell you want the story is, EVER. They SEC is not your friend. If you are looking for a friend give a t-bone steak to a pit bull. You'll come out far better.

The SEC for some reason has assigned a group of bureaucrats to look into DCI, perhaps because someone got to someone at the SEC and fed them some accusations. If you've read the recent postings HERE from attorney's this is not so surprising. Ours is not to ask "why" -- and complaining only makes them look harder...and LONGER.

It seems to me that if DCI has to account for EDGE as a purchase
& amortize to the tune of $400,000/yr for 20 yrs, then DCI is
suffering a sort of "penalty" relative to the the 99% of other "buying"
companies able to utilize pooling.
Maybe this is a good thing in that DCI will have a squeaky clean
"financial sheet" before obtaining a full NAZ or AMEX listing.
On the other hand, the DCI press release indicated the company only
"assumes" the Edge accounting was the only matter viewed as a problem.
Jeez, I hope it is the good scenario.......................V

Wes,
These two statements were included in the article I provided a link to last Monday. I recommend reading the article as it provides more detail.
