"Cisco has canceled development of an ATM switch
called the TGX 8750, widely viewed as a crucial
product for competing with Nortel and Ascend.
Instead, it intends to incorporate TGX features,
including wide optical-fiber connections, into an
older 8850 product line and re-release it early next
year."

Len, My network planning buddies always pushes CSCO products because they have the best customer service (according to them) and they haven't left them hanging and made them look bad like other vendors. They tend to be the ones who influence sales.

Baseball analogy: CSCO's the batter and the tie goes to them on all products. Then again, if they're getting fat and out of shape, and striking out...then that's another story. Hate to see CSCO go the way of Cal Ripken though cuz they carried my team when rookies like FORE and others were absolutely killing me.
