Scumbria, let's just agree on one thing. Intel had, has, and always will have competitors. If AMD goes away, there will be someone else to take their place. Same thing with Cyrix. Some of them might even make a buck or two in profit.

I don't expect the competition to magically disappear even if Intel drives ahead flawlessly.

Yes. If no one has bought it by know, I doubt any body will. NSM chose to exit the business. IMO its over and done deal.
