Apple Computer Corporation stated in a news release that it was going to give away over $2 million in iMacs to customers in a drawing to be held at midnight, December 31, 1999. A company spokesperson stated that 2,000 Y-2K compliant iMacs would be given away to 2,000 lucky recipients. Customers may enter at any Apple authorized retail store after watching a 3 minute automated presentation on Y-2K issues and the iMac.
