[ does anyone know why?? ] Hype warning!!!!! I don't want to hype Pairgain, but anyway... comments? I read a post from "Mr.Fun" that Sprint hasn't purchased the Cisco edge ATM gear yet for their ION network. Looking at the Cisco edge ATM gear, it only provides backplane speeds in the 1.2G range today. The Pairgain Avidia ATM/DSLAM provides double the speed on the backplane. During the last CC Pairgain seemed positive about becoming a secondary supplier for Sprint. With Interopt and the Avidia product being at the show, it would be nice to see the first customer win announced for this product... until later.
