Humbly report, All, 'Net A Wealth Of Opportunity For U.S. Firms.

Excerpts from : go2net.com

''It is unleashing enormous intellectual power within the company, allowing us to do things that we never did before and allowing people to make contributions they couldn't make before,'' Johnson & Johnson Chairman Ralph Larsen said. ''We have just begun to appreciate, to some degree, how powerful the Internet is.''
[ . . .]
But the Internet's power was still hampered by the lack of broadband communication capability [. . .] that could more easily deliver video and audio.
[ . . .]
''When that comes, and it is going to come over the next few years, that is when you'll see dramatic changes I think will cause significant reorganization within companies -- the way people work, where they work,'' Esrey said.

Humbly report, All, Ecommerce Statistics:

view2.com
mercurywebtech.com
cplus.net :

How Many Consumers Shop Online Today?

eStats estimates that 65% of current net users have used the web to "shop around" online. We define "shopping" here as checking out products and services and comparing prices, prior to a purchase decision. However, only 14% of net users have actually purchased anything online. Fewer still have used their credit card.

How Many Consumers Will Shop Online Tomorrow?

By the year 2000, eStats projects that 92% of net users will do some "shopping around" online and another 45% will actually make purchases. This growth will result from increased security as well as a psychological boost in trust, familiarity and overall ease with online technology.

Etc. on Ecommerce. So, what about Go2Net?

Well, here's one cog on the Go2Net wheel - Hypermart Ecommerce:

hypermart.net

How 'bout when it's on Vulcan cable, with all the TV-like bells and whistles? ;-)

Cheers,
