I think you may be overly pessimistic. I think there won't be revenues shortfalls, because analysts will begin lowering expectations for the entire market due to Y2K. So actually Cisco will more than likely make those reduced expectations handily.

And if they don't warn about impending Y2K slowdowns, well, I would consider that remiss, or just downright careless. Just a quick note: Cisco has only missed earnings once in it's many years of being a public company.

Peter,

Cisco has been warning for over a year about Y2K possibilities.

The one positive fly in this situation is that their sales have been quite a bit above plan for the last year and their sales are actually accelerating!
