roger, PAIR ? for you Hi roger, was looking for an experienced shorter to help me on this. PAIR did the typical daytrader runup due to a buy reiteration and several CNBC announcements on PAIR activity Friday. I'm highly doubting a takeover will be announced Monday so am thinking about doing a short intraday Monday or Monday carried over to Tuesday (would think a Tues AM gap down would make sense on no takeover news). Now here's my question. Apparently, there's been some insiders, including the CFO and President who have filed 144's from 4/26 to 5/4. If a takeover was imminent, would it make sense for an insider to file close to a takeover? I think those 2 events (filing while expecting to be taken over imminently would be contradictory?). I'm wondering if I am misunderstandomg something as imminent takeover news seem to be the hype on PAIR, while it also seems that quite a few PAIR longs know that insiders of PAIR have been filing. Does 144 filings not tip the hat one way or the other on whether an insider feels a takeover is coming soon? Thanks roger------ Not Howie PS. Here's a clip of the most recent 144 filings I got from the Yahoo boards (I was able to confirm the April 144's but not the May ones as I use the free service from Insidertrader.com. Would you happen to know of a way to verify the May 144 filings?). Also, according to insidertrader.com, the VP Bruce Kimble filed a 144 for 34K shares on 4/27/99.
