DD, The reason CBs want the gold price to fall is that it gives a message of no inflation while the fed is desparately pumping liquidity into the world. For now it is showing up as a bubble in financial assests and therefore people feel wealthy and interest rates stay low. If inflation psychology starts to show the party will soon be over as interest rates will rise - the financial bubble will burst - and all those who have sold thier intellects to Slick Willie for a good Dow Jones will begin to realize what a bubble this has been. IMHO it is absolutely critical that the Fed keep the price of gold down. The Brits are Slicks pal in everything. This time instead of Serbia - they took the lead on gold busting. Again - absolutely critical to Western politicians to keep the price of gold low. Oh yeah, and as for thier friends now in power in South Africa - well tough! They are no longer politically important to the left! Bob

I noticed I didn't answer you.. I never said that Hutch was omnipotent..I don't know what your problem is..please try to control yourself from misquoting me or trying to read my mind. It one reads enough these days..one finds answers to your questions.. Also if you read Goldsnow..he is seeing this as potentially the best of times for gold..as it is setting stage.. please please now that I am praising Goldsnow..don't say I think he is omnipotent either..(whereas if he wants to say it..it is quite another matter)(or if Hutch wants to say..it is quite another matter)
