Thanks for pointing this out. This is about 400,000 oz Au per month, worth about $120 million.

On the world financial scale, where 100's of billions of dollars are traded every month, this is not a lot and should be easily absorbed by the market. There are other central banks which will be just as eager to buy as the UK is to sell.
