Plato - about fifty pages when I was shirking phys.ed. Big shrug. I guess I couldn't get past him rhapsodizing about "young boys just starting to grow beards". Dickens? let's see now - we were doing "A Tale of Two Cities" in English class (kiss of death that) - and I don't have fond recollections. I DID see the Discovery Channel show about The Odyssey. Sorta Cliffs Notes on TV. I do intend to read a good translation of both The Iliad and The Odyssey. In fact - I want to read them to the Helenator as a bedtime serial when she's old enough.
