We had a very strange opening to the year with a very large run-up. Cisco a lot of times does not run-up before earnings. The high PE has spooked a lot of traders (notice that I didn't say investors!)and the short term view is that the stock needs to consolidate for a little while longer.

If the CC is good (and I do expect GOOD!) I expect the stock to continue higher, especially if they announce a split!

could mean a big up. i don't think bad news is around the corner cuz it would have gone down. delayed skyrocket up i think....it delayed my profit this week, but at least the last two hours today were back to historical pre earnings rise.

maybe the street doesn't reward consistent earnings growth like it used to?
