** OT ** LG, I agree with you... I'm thrilled that these three guys came home safely... when I returned back to the States I was stunned by the deep civil unrest, I couldn't believe it, it seemed to invalidate the whole idea of personal sacrifice for the good of the nation... and as a soldier who went through some of the worst living terror one could never imagine only to see the prevailing social hostility and thanklessness directed towards the veteran upon one's return, was heart sickening and depressing to me..... true that some things were done to undo that since, but it really is too little too late, nothing can replace the immediate warm welcoming home reception to assist in the transition from one world back to another... Oh, I think you know by my posts that I'm a generally happy person, but after 30 years the bitter taste can still easily be remembered..... My Warmest Regards. GZ
