That's not my idea. My idea is no price to AOL customers than what AOL already charges. BB Internet is more expensive. It's better. So AOL has to charge say, $40. That's a different issue than the one between AOL and T. Assuming that AOL fielded a cable presence then T should cut a deal with them to allow access and compete against ATHM on the condition that AOL provides infrastructure support to be negotiated and/or BB telephony for its subscribers, and/or media exchanges which T has negotiated with TWX or DIS. ATHM can supply the expertise of managing the AOL BB feed. AOL supplies the content and ATHM engineers the delivery. There's a lot of ways to negotiate a solution.

Do you know how fast adversaries agree on "fair" when they see that whether it is fair or not they're far better off with whatever is deemed fair. These things aren't written in stone, but it takes someone to say something the opponent would like to hear. You make concessions. When you do that you get back twice as much as otherwise. Haven't you heard of the art of compromise? No one likes the compromise, but something comes out of it rather than stalemate. We've got stalemate now that Comcast rolled over and can be played for dead. As long as Comcast was kicking we had the potential to develop a dynamic market. Now we have the stiffening action of government regulation and intervention. You know how promising that was in the trail of tears left when government protected the people from the greed of the MSOs.
