davep, exactly my husband's portfolio exploded the last 6 weeks since I protected it for him with the cyclicals, and sectors other than nets. Even got him some oils and gold for the few weeks they looked good. I had gotten him LTD when it was 22, KMB when it was 45, CAT at 48, GR at 36, ADLAC at 52, NXLK at 45.. and this was just the last 6 or 7 weeks. I was of afraid ruining a portfolio with internet stocks that could tank at any time, as would peace in harmony in the home. Of course there was the occasional net trade that I let him 'partake in' but I was the 'aggressive' trader in the family and wouldn't let him do likewise.
