Hi AK! This NR is much appreciated. I have thoughts on the last paraphrase, as you requested.
There is an NRhere on this thread somewhere (I may even have posted it but too tired to look) which states that GM is NOT ONLY in alliance with BMW but also with Toyota for the SOFC fuel cells, as opposed to Ballards PEMS.
Your NR posted states that Daimler/ Chrysler and Ford found too many problems with the SOFC's. We know that there are a gazillion comparies working on SOFC's.

Here's what i think. I don't think Ford or Chyrsler can compete with GM or Toyota on speed of development or resources. We know how rich GM is. But, let me read exerpts from a recent book of mine on Toyota.
"toyota, originattor of 'just-in-time production...has the highest operating margins in the auto industry because...is so rich that it makes MORE money on financial INVESTMENTS than it does on auto manafacturing ($ spent on development is a tax write-off).It has over 22 billion in US CASH and could COMPLETELY buy out FORD and CHRYSLER with 5 billion to spare...Toyota's engineering system can take a new car design from concept to showroom in less than 4 years versus 5 to seven years for US companies and 7 years Daimler.""
I think the race is definately for California 2001. Ford and Chrysler don't have the $ GM and Toyota do to develop the superior SOFC's and the TOYOTA alliance intregrated speed of development.
Toyota also has a staggering 45% market share in Japan (population 125 million).
I said in an earlier post that I think GM/BMW/ and especially cash swamped Toyota will throw any amounts of $ to ensure GLE succeeds in a short time frame.
Interestingly in the laast ntwo Fortune mag is a sort of on topic article especially since GLE produces generators for remote cities (which competes with Honda's gas generators). There are many near retiring CEO's of many companies now trying to clear their consciences by publicly stating that they are personally targeting natural gas coal and petroleum companies with the intent of putting the out of business. eg Fortune May 24 99 p. 190; billionaire Paaul Anderson CEO of Intrerface Corp.
GLE is in an excellent position. I still hav 1000 shares in long. I like many I'm sure, hate waiting more than anything in the world. Yet, the dilemna I feel, is that if I cash out to use this dough for daytrades I know thae damn stock will EXPLODE knowing my luck. I'm not gonna sell.
What do you think AriKirA? I'm so tired I'm doin the head bob thing. Gotta crash. Talk to yha...snoog.
