A reverse split is when the company wants to help it'self,with our money, say you have 100 shares, they do a reverse of 10 to 1 which means instead of 100 shares,you now have 10 shares.buying usually stops for awhile,then the price starts to go down.Usually a reverse comes from poor mgt,mgts, restricted shares are getting ready to expire or greed.I might be wrong on the reasons why but I have been in stocks that had a reverse and not one of them made the investor happy.JMO
