Doug R: Wether or not LG has properly recognized such an opportunity is another matter.

Now what does that mean? I recognized it in advance, (months in advance and called the "time frame" it would begin) that is what counts. I also, expected strong rebounds from the initial drops. AND, I was not calling for "the" top, but playing it safe with retirement money just in case. I choose to NOT reveal my analysis technique completely, that is my prerogative, right?

Now lets see you made your attack on the MDA thread and me on 4/13. It turns out, the Internet Index topped (intermediate-term) that very day. (DOT.X). Then on 4/14 the hi-techs made an initial top falling 11+% in three days, then rebounded to put in a second top on 4/27. (NDX.X/COMPX) Now I did misjudge how much the rotation (flight to safer equities) was going to impact the Dow Indice issues and they went up more than expected, I have admitted that.

Now since you made your attack on 4/13, that gave you only two trading days to change your mind to: I chose several factors that arose during the 2nd week of April in order to arrive at my own conclusion that risk would heavily outweigh potential reward insofar as committing new money at this particular juncture in the technical progress of the market.

Quite the about face, after such an attack...

I have taken a step beyond what LG was willing to do. That is risk that I was willing to take on. LG was not willing to take on that risk and that is his perogative.

You have no idea what risk I have taken. Just because I tucked retirement money away, does not mean I did not continue to trade the Market. I have gone on record several times stating such. I have priorities to preserve certain types of investment funds more than others. Surely you understand that.

I have never said anything "negative" about you that “was” not done in self defense, only after you came on the MDA thread and attacked me and the MDA thread. Heck, I don't even read your thread or you. Someone that does, made me aware of the latest slight.

May I suggest you show some class and leave the MDA thread out of your discussions in the future. We are NOT in competition with you, but you seem to be in competition with us...what does that say about you?

LG

Could someone give me an opinion on these.....MNTG, ONPT and CADE. MNTG and CADE I've seen posted here from time to time. ONPT is a result of one of my own scans about 1 week ago. (USWC also came up about 1 week before ONPT but I think its too late to catch that one)

one way of trying to gauge that is whether on the first thrust upward
whatever indicator got pinned so high that it might be considered a
"thrust" situation where the next downturn in the oscillator was irrelevant.
