Good Morning Don, and to all who love the Lord Jesus Christ. << You say I am blinded Robert............>>. Indeed you are Don according to the Holy scriptures. Since you have not been " born again " thus having the indwelling Spirit of the Living God in your spirit, you cannot see the Divinity of the Lord Jesus. You have only the " natural " Adamic nature you inherited from your parents to depend on to understand the Holy scriptures. 1 Cor. 3:14, states your condition, " But the natural man does not receive the things from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned ". According to the Lord Jesus Christ, the key to understanding the Bible came from His very own lips, " unless a man is " born-again " he cannot see the kingdom of God. It is only the Holy Spirit of God who indwells every born again believer that provides the illumination and understanding of who Jesus was and is. Almighty God who spoke to Moses in Exodus 3:14 and stated His name as " I AM " is the same person in John 8, verses 24 and 28 , none other than the Lord Jesus Christ. Please note that the translaters added the word " He " after the " I AM ". the original texts do not show that. This promise made to Adam and Abraham of the coming Messiah and the redemption of mankind was brought to fruition by the Lord Jesus Christ 2000 years ago. You are correct in understanding that Old Testament Judaism is the root of Christianity, which is really the flower, all the scriptures cleary state this fact. In closing Don, I leave you with these scriptures, 1 John 2:22-23, Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son, Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also ". May the Eternal Father of the Lord Jesus Christ grant you mercy and by His Holy Spirit dispel the darkness you are unknowingly being held captive. Robert
