Good afternoon Helpinout. Thanks for all the posts, especially the Distributor Alliance Program stuff. What a difference a week makes. More announcements next week, I think. You will have to fix a bleeper alert to that search program you use.

Interesting that DELL is not even on the radar screen in the discussions in this segment. One of the reasons, I think, that DELL has put pressure on the server team to do effective programs in this segment. The small business market is one where customers rely heavily on a small local provider or mid-tier VAR. CPQ started working this space about 2 years ago with a range of programs designed to help small VARs be more competitive, but the direct initiative last fall derailed some of that work. DELL's approach is similar ot CPQ's - provide financing and other assistance to smaller VARs to help offset the loss in margin from direct hardware sales.
