Went to the priceline website for the first time today and was VERY impressed. Always thought it was just about travel, but no - real estate, autos and more..... Always thought the travel business model seemed a little weak - no control over schedules and all that. But really liked the info they made available for real estate financing and auto purchases. Seems like they are doing a very thorough job designing their site. Seems like they are providing a service beyond just low price. But if they do everything else right as they seem to be doing, the "name your price" pitch really is the emotional hook. I am looking forward to using the service when it makes sense to do so. Disclaimer: Neither long nor short the stock currently. Admit to concern about the valuation issue. Hoping the stock declines - I will be a buyer for sure!
