JLA---The classic example is in our broader arguments about how bad the situation is. I made the case that since most people live from paycheck- to- paycheck, one should be a little more sympathetic to their economic fears, instead of calling them greedy. You dismissed that by saying that living paycheck- to- paycheck is a choice too. First, in some instances that is not reasonably so, unless there is a flop- house or shack readily available to move into, but even when it is true, it is hard to blame people for wanting to improve their standard of living and raise their kids in conditions of affluence, instead of just saving and waiting until middle- age to have much of anything.
