Is there an Historical basis for AOL Dropping to
the teens. Is the stock experiencing a double bottom at or about 115? Did AOL ever go through a similiar scenario from the past? Will AOL resume flight after all of the profit takers including the FM'S say, We've chewed it to the bone? All of these answer are pointing to a YES.
Please focus your attention to this link:

I'll begin with the period of 6/22/98 where AOL became once again a triple digit stock @101 1/8.
The stock rose to an intraday high on 7/21/98 @140 1/2. Following this rise of 39 points, AOL underwent a nerve racking price change. On 9/4/98 it hit an intraday low of 82 1/2.
I see this as the FIRST BOTTOM. As AOL climbed, it reached an intraday high of 120 3/4 on 9/24/98. Following this and 9 trading days later, it once again hit the 82 1/2 intraday low on both 10/8 and 10/9 of 1998. I see this as the SECOND BOTTOM. After this double bottom, the stock rose all of the way up towards its Nov 17th split of 1998.
Did AOL go through a very volitile period. The answer is indeed yes. Do we see a similiar sequence taking shape here. The answer seems to be affirmative.
I recommend that you print out the entire link and compare it to the drop from 175 1/2 to 112..up to 167 and back down to 115 3/4.

In summary, this correction is at its end IMHO.

Good luck all!

ps, any market correction will most likely effect further volitility in this stock but the major correction is about over.
