Alan Ableson has been full of crap for years. David and Tom Gardner (the Motley Fool) put it squarely in perspective in hour three of today's radio show pointing out his columns from 1995, and asking the question how a guy can keep his job at the world's leading financial weekly while being so consistently wrong.

Re: Abelson - In the same issue are two insanely positive articles about the US economy. I think they keep Abelson around for balast. There's a lot of jerk wad financial writers, but he's the king.

Gs, do you know why Abelson has always bashed the "Thing"??
He's pissed because he never has been invited to Bezos's closed door analyst's meetings.
I'm back up here in Seattle, closer to the "Things" home.
The word on the street up here is, that @ the last meeting, after Bezos told the elephants analyst's that there still are no profits on the horizon, they all left in a hurry. Kind of like watching penguins jump in the water, one after another.
I think Lise Buyer is counting how many of the faithful penguins are left. Give it one more qtr. I think you'll find a few have jumped back into the water.
