Pat Mudge: How do you know whether the blocks that traded Friday were "key funds averaging down" as you claim? Can you give us the name of one of those "key funds" that averaged down Friday?

I find it highly unlikely that any fund bought shares last week to average down, as you say. Funds, and other institutional shareholders, do not average down. They might pyramid, but they NEVER average down.

The blocks that went through on Friday afternoon are more than likely short sellers who were covering a healthy gain on the week before the weekend. This is a common practice for short-sellers who have had a good week. They prefer to cover before the weekend and come back with a vengeance during the following week. Watch for the shorts to hammer away at Newbridge again this week.
