Thanks, Ant. This is getting more twisted the further it develops. They didn't start draining money until the 29th of April but since they redirected my address out to Portland as far as the bank goes, they had my cancelled checks thus signature before that date, so signature forgery is easy and I am wondering if I'm going to have to argue about that. We are talking serious bucks (I'm not exactly sure but likely 9 or 10K on the checking account) which would be a felony rap. I don't know what the bank's fraud squad will do about pursuing the criminal matter, but they might just shove the charges back on the merchants and drop it.

That would not be so good for me since all this info is now out there in the hands of crooks. What am I supposed to do, change my name and SS#? Did you get your April Brown statement yet? I haven't and am wondering 'cause I think those SOBs wouldn't cover me if my brokerage accounts get raided with forged documents. So I would have to sue 'em which would be a big waste of attorney's fees.
