Well, we cant say its always "right," but procedurally the majority takes the cake so to speak. The mob is the boogey that hides behind democracy, you are correct. A tyranny of the majority is as undesirable as the tyranny of a minority. Which is why the power of government must always be limited and checked, and the will of the majority must never be more important than the rights of the individual, the smallest minority...
