A few months back I looked at the 30 yr and figured 6 to 6.10 using monthly charts. I place long-term money using the monthly with the bond. and have been on the sideline there since 5.10. i believe some money is being attracted to new areas now, inc. bond but 6% is key psych, area. Intl and undervalued R2K or Oil stuff gets the internal rotation. Nets are left out. But Nets can always roar for a rally, but I think they have seen peaks for now. One interesting play I see there is AOL at 150 area. Huge window-dressing in Q1 on AOL at 150 on up. Look for that one to fail any rally there. Of course, if the big kahuna falls the others already have ( like NSOL,CMGI). I still like the quick short and watch rallies now. But the rallies can be huge so whatever you like. Just keep this in mind. Had a chat with an in-law today at a get-together. Real trend follower ( kind of a street guy that loses). Bought AOL a few weeks back and rode it up 80% in 2 weeks and didn't sell! Now he has a 205 gain and still won't sell. He may be right or maybe too late! As we joked about shit stocks to own ( I came up with WSTL), he came up with GLM. I said that GLM was good and he said it was crap. Why? Cause he bought at 30. Check out the chart and you can see the top when the stock had a great run, then he bought. then it went to 7 ( now 15). He also talked of ISIP that they bought in '96 at 20. So they are a barometer for me on these big names.
