A corporation has projects going or investments in projects even investments in subsidiaries and investments in other companies. It is very difficult to see where a company doesn't want its investments to do well. T has a major investment in ATHM. To a certain extent T bought TCI for ATHM more than they bought TCI for its plant. T considered simply buying Cox and Comcast, but that wasn't enough to carry the Board. As Jing has merrily and repeatedly stated a bet on ATHM is a bet that T is capable, so I don't see this paranoia that there is a conflict of interest. There is always conflicts among shareholders since they all have a different view as to which way the company should go. That's another reason why a management is essential. It has its own agenda.

Maybe you are saying Jermo is a puppet. That would be a risk factor.
